POSITION:                   ZONING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER 

REPORTS TO:                First Selectman
GENERAL DUTIES:       Enforces the zoning regulations of the Town of New Fairfield as well as state statutes concerning zoning.                 
                                                           
QUALIFICATIONS:    Ability to read and interpret zoning regulations. Ability to express decisions and reason through both verbal and written communication. Ability to communicate effectively with the public, various boards and commissions, other departments and staff. Previous experience in other code enforcement helpful.  Valid driver's license. Certification required.

POSITION TO START:   June 2026
HOURS:                             35 ½ hours per week
SALARY:                            Per Bargaining Unit Contract ($39.65 )
